Melanie Katz is a German-Swiss poet, translator, and artist based in Zurich, and a scholar at Frankfurt University researching plant knowledge and art as social practice. In 2017, she initiated the poetry project The Lonely Funeral in Zurich, which she continues to curate. Her honours include the Werkjahr of the City of Zurich Literary Foundation and support from Pro Helvetia.
