Dear writers, poets, moderators, performers and supporters of the fifth edition of the George Town Literary Festival!
It has been a week since the festival kicked-off – with a roar! Three days of conversation, discourse, readings, book launches, music and performances have made it one of the most memorable festivals for George Town and we thank YOU all for making this happen.
This year, we had our biggest turnout to date, with standing-room only venues, and audiences clamouring for answers to more questions.
This year we dealt with some of the most provocative and critical themes dealing with issues here in Malaysia and beyond, and we are grateful to our moderators, poets and writers who spoke so freely and eloquently. Our audiences were thrilled, awed and inspired by you all.
We are grateful to the embassies, cultural institutions and agencies that brought many of you to your shores, and we hope for continued support for the festival in the future.
Should you write or blog about the festival, do send us the necessary links and should you also have comments or suggestions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are grateful to the Penang State Government, Penang Global Tourism and Penang Institute who continue to support the necessity of theword, and the freedom to speak of it in George Town.
We hope you have arrived home safe, not too jet-lagged, armed with memories of a special time in George Town.
Thank you once again, for making this edition a success!
We wish you holiday tidings, a well-earned rest and a happy new year!
On behalf of team GTLF 2015, you have my sincerest thanks and warmest regards,
